CamKerala is a Cambridge based cricket team comprising of players who have a link with the Indian province of Kerala. God's own country; as advertisers call Kerala, gave the world the first elected communist government and it is also the land of few popular cricketers like Sreesanth, Sanju Samson, Sachin Baby and the latest sensation Karun Nair.
Kerala known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of
canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support
tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks
like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are
home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers, and also the very delicious Keralan cuisine. Sea food, Appams and Stew.... are some globally popular dishes.
Currently we have two men's team which attempts to take the T20 approach to 40 over cricket. It comprises of grizzled veterans and tearaway rookies who all share a passion of cricket. We invite all new players who have something in common with us.
Our home ground is at Hills Road Sports & Tennis Centre, Sedley Taylor Road (Off Long Road), Cambridge.
We also have summer nets at Fenner's, Gresham
